Caring for Your Bathroom Products

Your bathroom is a sanctuary of calm, comfort, and timeless detail. With thoughtful care, each piece will retain its beauty, finish, and function for years to come.

This guide outlines simple steps to preserve and protect your bathroom products, keeping them looking elegant and performing beautifully every day.

Bath Care & Information

Cast Iron Baths

Care and Maintenance

To help keep your bath in excellent condition, we recommend the following:

After each use, rinse the cast iron bath thoroughly to remove any residual soap, shampoo, or bath products. The bath should then be dried with a soft towel to help prevent mineral or limescale deposits from forming as water evaporates. This is especially important if you live in a hard water area.

Do not use acidic, abrasive, or harsh chemical cleaning products, as these may damage the bath surface. Warm soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge should be sufficient for regular cleaning. After cleaning, rinse away all soapy residue and dry the bath thoroughly.

Dripping taps should be repaired as soon as possible, as constant dripping may cause mineral or limescale marks on the surface of the bath.

For best results, clean the bath regularly using a soft cloth and warm soapy water. A mild washing-up liquid is ideal for routine cleaning.

Concrete Basins

Our concrete basins are made using a specialist concrete and stone mix designed for strength, durability, and stain resistance. However, as with natural stone, concrete should be treated with care, as it can stain or chip if not properly maintained.

Care and Maintenance

To help keep your concrete basin in excellent condition, we recommend the following:

Warm soapy water and a soft cloth or sponge should be sufficient for regular cleaning. Do not use acidic, abrasive, or harsh chemical cleaning products, as these may damage the basin surface.

Dripping taps should be repaired as soon as possible, as constant dripping may cause mineral or limescale marks on the surface of the basin.

Avoid exposing your basin to harsh liquids like bleach, nail varnish remover, and paint strippers. If these spill, rinse immediately with water. Toothpaste can cause erosion and discolouration. Please wipe away any toothpaste residue immediately.

Concrete basins are treated with a penetrative sealer that makes them water-resistant and stain-resistant. Chemical cleaners will wear this protective layer down over time.

Re-apply sealant periodically: Over time, normal wear and tear will degrade the basin's protective seal. You should re-seal your concrete basin every 1 to 2 years using a high-quality, penetrating concrete sealer to maintain its stain-repellent properties

Installation

If you are mounting the concrete basin on our brackets and would like to achieve an invisible fixing, the brackets will need to be chased into the wall or installed before any tiling work is completed.

Tapware and Showers

Care and Maintenance

To help keep your taps and showers in excellent condition, we recommend the following:

Dust products regularly using a soft, dry cloth. This helps prevent dust and dirt build-up, maintains the finish, and reduces the need for more intensive cleaning. Clean regularly to help reduce the formation of limescale and water marks.

Wipe away fingerprints and water marks as soon as you notice them to help prevent staining or marking. Avoid leaving toothpaste, shaving foam, limescale remover, bathroom cleaner, bleach or anything acidic on the brass. These can stain or strip the surface. After use, wipe the surface with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Rinse with clean water, then dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.

Do not use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or abrasive cloths, as these may scratch the surface or damage the finish. Do not use harsh cleaning products containing alcohol, bleach, acids, vinegar, ammonia, or antibacterial ingredients, as these may damage the finish.

For Chrome and Polished Nickel finishes, we recommend the occasional application of beeswax, carnauba wax, or Autoglym Aqua Wax to help protect and maintain the shine. A little regular care will go a long way in preserving the appearance and finish of your taps or shower.

Living Finishes

Polished nickel and living brass are considered living finishes because they are unlacquered and do not have a protective coating, allowing the surface to respond naturally to its environment. Over time, these finishes will develop a rich patina that adds depth, warmth and individual character to each piece.

As the metal is exposed the finish naturally ages, areas that are touched less often will gradually darken, while frequently handled areas may appear lighter and more polished. This natural variation or patina is part of the beauty of living finishes, giving your tapware an authentic, evolving look that becomes more distinctive over time. Brushed Finishes

Brushed tapware finishes should be cleaned with care to preserve their appearance. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, harsh cloths, bleach, acidic products, and solvent-based cleaners, as these can scratch, dull, or damage the surface. Clean regularly using warm water, a mild soap, and a soft cloth, then rinse thoroughly and dry with a clean microfibre cloth to help prevent water marks and limescale build-up. Metal polishes should be used with caution, as excessive or frequent polishing may reduce the brushed effect.

Shower roses and Hand showers

Shower roses and hand showers should be cleaned regularly to keep the outlets free from limescale, as build-up can reduce water flow and may cause damage. To help prevent water settling inside the head, tilt the shower head regularly after use to allow any remaining water to drain away.

Natural Stone Worktops

Care and Maintenance

To help keep your natural stone worktop in excellent condition, clean it regularly using a mild detergent or a specialist stone cleaner suitable for the type of stone. Dust and wipe the surface frequently with a soft cloth, rinse thoroughly after cleaning, and dry with a soft cloth.

Blot up spills immediately to help prevent staining, and protect the surface with coasters, trivets, or placemats under glasses, hot items, toiletries, and other products.

Do not use vinegar, lemon juice, bathroom cleaners, limescale removers, abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or any cleaning products containing acid, as these may scratch, dull, etch, or damage the stone.

Natural Stone Information

Natural stone is a product of nature and may vary from samples shown. Differences in colour, texture, shade, veining, size, thickness, and surface finish are not considered faults.

We recommend requesting samples of current stock before ordering, as variations may occur without notice. The customer is responsible for inspecting all natural stone before installation. No claims can be accepted once the material has been installed.

Natural stone is porous to varying degrees, so we strongly recommend sealing the surface with a high-quality stone sealer to improve stain resistance and help protect the material. Care should also be taken during installation, tiling, and grouting to prevent building residue from marking or becoming sealed into the stone.
