All our freestanding baths need an overflow waste and a bath trap. The overflow allows excess water to drain away safely without flooding your bathroom and the bath trap goes below the plug hole to take away waste water when you have finished bathing.

We recommend that when purchasing our baths, you buy our own Exposed Overflow Waste and Shallow Seal Bath Tap. This is simply because our waste requirements are not standard fittings and we cannot guarantee that if you purchase them elsewhere they will fit our baths.

And don't forget the taps! You have the choice of a bath with tap holes or without - you desired finish will dictate which taps you choose.  We recommend a shroud to cover the exposed pipework.

We recommend purchasing the Exposed Overflow Waste  with a bateau bath, you should not need our shallow seal bath trap as this is hidden under the bath. A plastic trap can easily and cheaply be purchased from your local plumber’s merchants.

A bateau style bath can only really be plumbed into the floor as the entry where the waste pipe goes into from the back of the bath to the underneath of the bath is generally not big enough to allow a trap pipe to exit also.

A trap can be purchased easily and cheaply from your local plumber’s merchants and won't be seen.

The Marseille can only be plumbed into the floor are there is no exit or entry at the back of it.
