A key priority of the renovation was striking the right balance between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary functionality. This approach is perhaps most clearly expressed in the bathrooms, where classic forms and modern finishes come together in a seamless and elegant way.

The family bathroom is a standout space, showcasing refined detailing and luxurious finishes throughout. Ashbee & Strone traditional Linton tapware was selected to sit harmoniously alongside the shaker-style bath and vanity, reinforcing the farmhouse aesthetic. Polished nickel taps introduce a subtle contemporary note while retaining a timeless quality.

This tapware plays a central role in the overall scheme. The polished nickel will naturally patina over time, developing a distinctive character unique to the home. Paired with brass door and window hardware, it creates a sophisticated mix of warm metals that harmonise beautifully. The result is a bathroom that feels both inviting and elevated; luxurious, yet perfectly in tune with the property’s rustic, country setting.
